PRE-TEEN PROGRAMS
Pro-D Day Camp
6-12 yrs
A day off school?! Join our Youth Staff for a fun filled day! Pack a water bottle, snack and lunch; dress weather-appropriate including rubber boots. Pre-registration and consent forms are required. Register early, spaces are limited! After care option is available for participants in Pro-D Day Camps only. Refunds require a minimum of 10 days’ notice BEFORE the start of camp. A $10 administrative fee will be assessed for refunds.

Ascenders Jr.
10-13 yrs | Tuesdays, 3:15 – 6:00pm
Ascenders, Unite! Join this co-ed afterschool program to go on weekly adventures with our youth leaders! Each week will involve the group going on an out-trip to take part in various activities. Out-trips will include bowling, skating, golfing, & more! A snack is also provided. The staff will pick participants up outside the main entrance at Hastings Elementary & Dr. A.R. Lord Elementary after school. Please be ready to walk to Hastings CC by 3:15 PM. Participants to be picked up at Hastings CC after the program.

Wednesday Star Friends
9-13 yrs | Wednesdays, 3:15 – 6:00pm
Wednesday Star Friends is for any pre-teen who identifies as
a girl and/or non-binary and wants to take part! This program is a great way to connect with other kids in the community. Chill in the Games Room by playing pool, table tennis or PS4/Wii. The program will also conduct some leadership activities and provide snacks! The staff will pick participants up outside the main entrance at Hastings Elementary & Dr. A.R. Lord Elementary after school. Please be ready to walk to Hastings CC by 3:15 PM. Participants to be picked up at Hastings CC after the program.

Preteen Volleyball
11-12 yrs | Saturdays, 3:30pm – 4:30pm
This program is for any preteen looking to learn and play volleyball! Our youth leaders will run drills & run scrimmages each week! No session on Oct 28th and Nov 11th.

Jr. Youth Council
9-12 yrs | Fridays, 5:00pm – 6:00 pm
The Junior Youth Council helps introduce leadership skills and volunteerism to pre-teens who will look to make the jump into the Hastings Youth Council once they enter Grade 8! Work with our youth leaders to create projects, work on community initiatives, and have a role in special events working alongside the Hastings Youth Council! Meetings are on Fridays, before TGIF.

This evening program is all about having fun! Pre-teens join JJ and company for an evening of fun activities, every Friday night. Sign in at the Games Room by 6:10pm. This program is FREE and made possible by the HCA. Registration required.

Hastings Youth Council
12-17 yrs | Saturdays 2:00-4:00 pm
The Hastings Youth Council strives for youth to be leaders in their community and for their voices to be heard. This is a great opportunity to organize activities, special community initiatives, implement projects, and volunteer in the community. Meet new people, make new friends, get volunteer hours and give back to the community! Meetings are held on Saturdays. To register, contact Carmen.
